Terms of sale
Last updated: September 13, 2026.
1. Purpose and scope
These terms of sale govern subscription to the paid “Trace Pro” plan, offered by Léo Feliers, French sole trader (auto-entrepreneur, SIRET 982 214 694 00019), via latrace.app (“Trace”). They apply to every customer, individual or organisation (association, club, company), referred to as the “Customer”, in France or abroad. The right-of-withdrawal clause (section 5) applies, as required by French law, only to consumer Customers — individuals acting outside a professional capacity. These terms are written in French, the legally authoritative version; this English page is provided as a convenience translation only, and the French version prevails in case of any discrepancy.
2. Service description
Trace is an app for sharing cycling routes (.gpx files), organised into groups. The free plan caps a group at 10 active members. The Pro plan, subscribed to for a given group, removes that cap (unlimited members) and may unlock further features reserved for it in the future.
3. Price
The Pro plan is billed €4.99 (all taxes included) per month, per group. No VAT is charged — French micro-entrepreneur VAT exemption (art. 293 B, Code général des impôts). The price is the one in effect at the time of subscription; any price change will be announced with reasonable notice and will only apply to billing periods starting after it takes effect.
4. Subscription, payment and renewal
Subscribing happens from within the app, by card, via our payment processor Stripe. The subscription is monthly and renews automatically until cancelled by the Customer. The Customer who subscribes is recorded as that group’s payer, and is the only one who can manage the subscription (update the card, cancel) — except that leaving the group does not end the subscription; the payer remains liable for it until it is cancelled.
5. Right of withdrawal (consumer Customers)
Under French consumer law (Art. L221-28 13°, Code de la consommation), the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content or a service supplied immediately, once the Customer has expressly consented to this and waived that right. That’s why Trace asks for this confirmation before any Pro subscription. Waiving it does not remove any other right — the Customer can still cancel the subscription at any time (section 6).
6. Cancellation
The Customer can cancel the subscription at any time from the group’s billing panel (“Manage billing”, Stripe’s portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refund is given for a period already under way. After that, the group automatically reverts to the free plan (10 active members).
7. Failed payment
If a charge fails, Stripe automatically retries it. After persistent failure, the subscription is cancelled and the group reverts to the free plan, without removing members already beyond the free-plan cap.
8. Complaints
Any complaint can be sent to leo.feliers@gmail.com.
9. Liability
Trace provides a route-sharing tool; the accuracy, safety, or rideability of a shared route is solely the responsibility of its author. Trace is not liable for how downloaded .gpx files are used.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law, including for Customers located outside France. Failing an amicable resolution, disputes fall under the jurisdiction of French courts, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the Customer’s own country of residence.
